The Services Selection Board (SSB) is a body
that examines applicants for officer positions in the Indian Armed Forces.
Candidates who pass written tests like CDS, NDA, TA, INET, and AFCAT are later
called to an SSB interview by the respective military boards. You can also show
up for the SSB Interview if your direct entry was chosen, such as TES, TGC,
UES, SSC Tech, etc.
After that, the Service Selection Board will
ask the selected students to appear for a personality and intelligence test. The
selection procedure for the SSB involves a number of assessments that take
place over the course of many days, including psychological testing, group
discussions, interviews, and physical examinations. The objective of the method
is to determine whether a candidate is a good leader with strong communication
and problem-solving skills as well as being generally qualified for a career in
the armed forces.
